CONGRATULATIONS
Chandler and Kelsey on your
Winnings at Nationals!!
Kelsey Landers and Chandler Bailey traveled to Washington DC this summer to compete for the National Titles. Dance Masters of America, held their annual National competition from June 30 - July 10th. It was a long competition but both Kelsey and Chandler represented Dance Masters of PA and Sandra Lynn's School of Dance with style and grace! They had to compete in the following divisions; Talent, Interview and Audition. Chandler won the petite division Tap scholarship and also won Mr. Personality before winning the title of 'Master Dance of America"!! What an honor. Chandler will hold the reign as Master dance of America for a full year and will be traveling to San Antanio Texas next summer to give up his title.
Kelsey did an amazing job in all areas of the competition taking home the Jazz scholarship and winning first runner up for Miss Dance of America! What a huge accomplishment. Kelsey will be giving up her title of Miss Dance of PA this January in Butler.
We are so proud of both of you and are so excited to see all that is in store for you in the future!! Have fun this year!

Master Class with Amy Schulke from Just Plain Dancin!
The company kids had a blast with Amy Schulke, when she had her Master class at the studio! Can we say sweat! Glad everyone had a great workout and learned some new and amazing things! Let's keep focusing on those turns....thanks also to Kiara Brown for all of your inspiration! We can't wait for you both to come back :)
SHOWSTOPPERS NATIONALS
Congratulations to Jessica Fanelli and Auriel Welty who traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to attend the 2009 Showstopper National Dance Competition. The girls were initially invited to attend the competition to participate as performers in the Opening Number for the 2009 Showstopper American Dance Championship Video.
The girls received this honor by being top soloists at the Pittsburgh regional competition: Auriel earned the 1st place overall high score award in the Teen division while Jessica was awarded the 2nd place overall high score in the Junior division. In addition to dancing along side some of the nation's finest dancers under the direction of accomplished choreographer, Haley Mac, the girls experienced having their makeup done by Hollywood makeup artist, Rachel Ross and their costumes selected by costume designer, Angel Roberts.
While attending the week long classes and rehearsals, the girls took time out of their hectic schedules to compete their solos in the competition. Jessica placed first in the 11 year old category for her character routine with a gold award, as well as receiving a Dance Excellence Award. Auriel placed fourth in the 13 year old category with her lyrical solo receiving a platinum award.
Following the opening number performance, both girls were presented with scholarships to attend a Showstopper Dance Convention this fall. Great job girls!
